Shock Therapy’s Upper East Side flagship introduced New York City’s first group EMS workout destination. The design creates a striking dialogue between past and future by inserting a futuristic shell within the landmark building’s historic fabric. This “room within a room” concept defines the immersive atmosphere of the space and reflects the vision of fitness for the future.

Sustainability plays a key role in the project. The interiors are wrapped with wood fiber–cement panels, while all wood elements are sourced from responsibly managed forests, underscoring a commitment to environmental and social responsibility.
